When we visit a class in progress, we're often amazed by the finished quality of the work many students are producing, and by the originality and diverse expressions of the technique or structure being taught. We wish we could transfer it immediately into our gallery. Finally, for the first time in several years, here's our chance to let others get a look at some of our students' finest work.

Many of our students, while new to the book form, are accomplished artists in other media. They are diverse in age, background and in their conceptions of what a book can be. While the books in this show may have been inspired by a teacher's class at the Center, seeing this work has in turn inspired us and helped us remember and reaffirm our mission.
