Makeready is created during the preparation of a print run. The multiple impressions that result from this process may be off-register, over-inked, or upside down. Most of these sheets end up in the recycling bin - but could some of it be considered unexpected art?
The exhibition explored this concept by featuring striking examples of one-of-a-kind makeready sheets, books, and posters, from both independent and commercial presses.
