Sandy Sykes
Paradise is Always Where You've Been

The artist's second book exploring the work of Dante is a damning image of the earthbound human condition, compounded of harrowing photographs, newspaper clippings, literary extracts, the artist's own writings, family snapshots and images from 10 years of sketchbooks.  Sykes sees the book as an exercise in mental gymnastics that pulls readers through a labyrinth of emotional hoops.
