Saturday Dec 6, 3-5pm This panel discussion is one is a series of 4 discussions for our exhibit Banned and Recovered and takes place at the African American Museum and Library at Oakland . The panel is free and open to the public.
Book Release Party: Ala Ebtekar
Wednesday Dec 3, 7-9pm Please join us in launching Ala Ebtekar's artist's book edition The Art of Stepping Through Time -- part of our Imprint series.
Book Arts Salon
Tuesday Dec 2, 7-9pm Well-known calligrapher Thomas Ingmire will present tonight. The Book Arts Salon (formerly the Bookarts Users Group, or BUG) is an informal gathering for local artists and writers to convene and converse. Free and everyone is welcome.
Holiday Fair
Friday Dec 12, 6-8pm and Saturday Dec 13 12-5pm Do your holiday shopping at the Center. We'll have gifts for sale by a wide variety of printers, bookbinders, book artists, and other craftspeople, as well as 2009 calendars from members of the Pacific Center for the Book Arts.
