Dayle Doroshow
Open Field

Zingaro

Flag book constructed from polymer clay, paper and porcupine quills
("4 x 6 x 4, opens to 26 in")
A teacher at a retreat asked Dayle to create a work inspired by the words "open field." Nine months later she devised this sculptural flag book. When completely open, it reminds Dayle of the grasses in the fields and meadows near the retreat site.
