Originally invented by a mathematician, flexagons mimic flat, two-page book structures, but don’t be deceived because they open to reveal hidden pages. Students will view various examples and learn the nuts and bolts of flexagon construction and manipulation. Throughout the afternoon, everyone will build four different versions of this curious book format. Once each flexagon is built, students will be able to decorate and add content, leaving with books that are all their own.
