Sintra board is an affordable PVC foam board that can be carved into with speed and ease, yet yields printed results that are similar to that of lino or wood cuts.

The morning portion of the class will explore mark making on Sintra with a variety of tools from traditional cutting tools to ball point pens, and even use of household items that can be pressed into the surface. In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to use new skills to produce one or two color print editions on the cylinder press.

Course will include basic cylinder press operation; class is open to novice printers and printmakers.

 >> Prerequisite: None <<

Materials to Bring:

  • Household items for mark making (think small objects, strange utensils or textured items)
  • 5 x 7" images to develop into relief print

Date & Time: Saturday, June 15, 2024 :: 9:30am-5:30pm
