Events
Our in-person and online events provide food for thought for those interested in all aspects of artists’ books, the visible word, printing in its many forms, and related arts.
SFCB hosts a wide range of events which are usually free and open to the public. Events such as our visiting instructor Book Talks or artist panel discussions often focus on exhibitions, collaborations with other organizations, or studio process. For those who are not local to the Bay Area, online events are designed to reach across distance and time-zones to reach printers, bookbinders, and artist bookmakers worldwide.
Upcoming Events
The Joyful Body of the Word celebrates the influential Bay Area career of artist Betsy Davids, spanning letterpress, writing, and artists' books, with select pairings in SFCB's gallery honoring her legacy and introducing her work to a new generation of makers.
