As a non-profit, SFB relies on volunteers to bring their experiences, talents and skills, to help with a wide range of activities in the studios and at our many events. Volunteer opportunities are emailed periodically. Sign up below to be the first to know about upcoming opportunities. 

Join our monthly Devil’s Night!

In the early days of printing, the youngest apprentices (known as printer's devils) kept the shop running: distributing type, sorting paper, and tidying the workshop. So when SFCB started a monthly studio volunteer night, the name was an easy choice.

On the first Tuesday of every month, we invite anyone who wants to get their hands dirty, to join us for an evening of cleaning, organizing, and whatever else the studio needs. It's many hands making light work, with plenty of good conversation about printing, book arts, and everything in between. No experience necessary! We welcome veteran and first-time Devils alike.
