Every year, SFCB selects two to three artists to create a special edition of artists' books — each just 4 x 4 inches and limited to 100 copies. We provide workspace, studio access, technical support, and a materials stipend to help bring each project to life.
Since the program launched in 2008, more than 40 editions have been created. This year, SFCB is excited to be working with artists Paul Oh (Rascally Sophist Press) and Nick Shick on their editions. SFCB Studio Director Chad Johnson says of this year’s program: “SFCB’s Imprint Committee is excited to announce two new editions from our annual Small Plates series. Without revealing too many details, this year’s books by Paul Oh and Nick Shick include plenty of planning, letterpress printing, and soul. We can't wait for you to see them!”
